Bangkok Airways has undergone a substantial cost reduction and has revised some of its business plans in an effort to plot a course through the economic downturn. The Nation reported that the cost-cutting measures include postponing the delivery of a new Airbus A319 for two years and the cancellation of an order for one ATR aircraft. It has also put a freeze on recruitment and cut executive benefits, although it has stopped short of staff cuts.
