Bangkok Airways has commenced direct flights to Thai capital from Bengaluru. The airline will operate five flights a week and will add two more flights by December. Bengaluru is the airline’s second destination in India after Mumbai.
“A lot of people come here from Thailand for studies. They travel between Bengaluru and Bangkok. The city, an IT hub, also offers vast potential for tourists travelling to Bangkok,” said Puttipong Prasarttong Osoth, President of Bangkok Airways. The airline is now looking at expanding to other destinations like Delhi, Lucknow, Kolkata and Chennai.
