Bangkok’sdelayed Airport Rail Link will start running commercially on the next birthdayof Hi Majesty the King, on 06 December 2009, charging BTB150 (US$ 4) for thethrough train and Bt15-Bt45 for the stopper, depending on the actual number ofstops traveled.
Thailand’s Transport MinistryDeputy Permanent Secretary Tawalyarat Onsira, who is also chairman of the StateRailway of Thailand (SRT), said the elevated system would link Suvarnabhumi Airportwith the City Air Terminal in Bangkok’sMakkasan district. He said construction was 98% complete.
