Two travel fairs kicking off at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre and a third, the Thailand Travel Mart Plus the Greater Mekong Subregion 2009 at the Impact exhibition centre (Muang Thong Thani), promise visitors great holiday packages at attractive prices the Bangkok Post reports.
Also opening are the Bangkok Post Thailand Travel Fair at the Plaza Zone of the national convention centre featuring about 100 booths offering discount hotel rates and tour packages, and the Asean+3 Travel Fair taking place in Zone C of the same venue.
“We hope the fair will be another driving force for Thai tourism because when Thais travel to Asean countries, more visitors from those countries will travel to Thailand as well,” said Somkiat Rungthaveephon, a director of Thai-Amadeus.
