On 23 October, Gunther von Hagens’ BODY WORLDS: The Original & The Cycle of Life will debut for the first time in Asia at the Science Centre Singapore. The internationally renowned exhibition offers an exceptional view of the human body in all its complexity, while also conveying its extraordinary beauty and design.
Featuring approximately 200 authentic human specimens, including whole bodies and individual organs, as well as animal specimens preserved through Plastination, a groundbreaking method of preserving the body for anatomical study developed by Dr. Gunther von Hagens, the exhibition explores the human body in relation to health, science, sports, art, anatomy and physiology.
This latest installation of BODY WORLDS will take visitors through the different stages of human development, from conception to old age. The multi-sensory experience will compel them to reflect on the elegant form and function of the human body, and its fragility under distress and disease. It will show our bodies living through time: how we change physically as we grow, mature, peak and wane.
We would like to invite you and your cameraperson / photographer to the BODY WORLDS Press Conference to find out more about this exciting exhibition. There will also be exclusive photo opportunities to capture images of exhibits on the day.
