Boeing reported net income of US$3.3 billion for 2010, a jump of 152% compared to the US$1.3 billion it achieved in 2009. The company’s Commercial Airplanes division led the resurgence, recording a full-year profit of US$3.0 billion, compared to the US$583 million loss it registered the previous year. However the 2009 results were impacted by the reclassification of 787 costs and 747 charges totalling US$1.4 billion. Boeing Commercial Airplanes’ revenue actually declined 7% year-on-year in 2010, despite deliveries increasing 4% last year to 462 units.
