GeniusTravel, the travel search site which focuses on customers’ budgets, has announced plans to expand into India.
The Amsterdam-based company has launched a new Hindi version of its app for iOS and Android devices, which it says is “testament to the Indian consumer’s appetite for mobile internet usage”.
The company has also launched two new products, GeniusApartments and GeniusLeisure. Formed in partnership with Roomlr.com, Genius Apartments represents the first time that GeniusTravel has offered apartment bookings, while a new tie-up with Tiqets will offer bookings for attractions.
These new ventures add to the company’s existing portfolio of offerings, including hotels through booking.com, flights via SkyScanner, and car rental powered by rentalcars.com.
“The launch of GeniusApartments and GeniusLeisure, represents an exciting period for GeniusTravel,” said GeniusTravel’s group founder, Gennie Freen. “We know that we are the first travel search engine-offering customers the opportunity to book holidays the way they want to, through our price slider feature. Now we want to focus on giving people around the world even more choice and opportunity to get the most out of their budget.”
The GeniusTravel concept is that customers start their search with price slider tool, rather than a destination, which allows users to search according to their budget.
The company launched in late 2014 and is currently available on in seven different languages.
