Cambodia may grant visa exemption to Japan and Korea

Cambodia is considering a visa exemption plans for tourists from Japan and South Korea, after visitor numbers from the two nations dropped dramatically last year. According to a Phnom Penh Post report, the country’s Minister of Tourism, Thong Khon, said that visa requirements may be lifted by next year. According to the report, visitor numbers from South Korea and Japan dropped 25% and 10% respectively in 2009.
