Captain Cook starts agent accreditation programme

Australian cruise line Captain Cook cruises has launched an agent accreditation programme through its site.
The firm, which specialises in cruises around Australia and the South Pacific, has revised the system, which it says is a self-training programme for travel agents, cruise specialists, wholesale and inbound front line selling staff.
The company’s head of sales & marketing Richard Doyle explained the benefits of completing the accreditation programme: “Once you have become a Captain Cook Cruises accredited agent not only have you increased your skills and product knowledge which will result in you selling more cruises, but you also will gain access to exclusive marketing opportunities and industry rates and make yourself more marketable in the job market.
“By completing the accreditation program agents will also learn how to easily navigate our new website and find direct links to any information they may need. They may even discover products they never knew existed.”
The programme currently involves two training modules which cover Sydney Harbour and the Murray River. The modules take roughly ten minutes to learn and will each have an exam of 10 questions.
A pass rate of 90% is requires to gain accreditation.
