The Philippine government will unveil a new statue in Manila this week, dedicated to Jaime Cardinal Sin, who played a key role in the toppling of the Marcos government 25 years ago. The Manila Times reported that the Catholic leader will be honoured with a life-sized statue, close with those of former President Corazon Aquino and her husband, Benigno ‘Ninoy’ Aquino in the city’s Luneta Park. The statue will be unveiled on 25 February.
