Carnival Cruise Line’s UK managing director is to move back to Miami after a two-year stint in the UK.
Adolfo Perez will continue to hold the role of managing director in the UK overseeing the market but will also take on other responsibilities at the cruise line’s head office, its statement read.
It added Perez’s stay in the UK was always intended to cover two years, and the market will still be represented by head of sales Ian Bailie and Erin Johnson, head of marketing.
Carnival had previously announced it was pulling its ships from Europe next year, blaming market conditions, high air fares and its predominantly US customer base.
