Cathay announces more Japan cancellations

Cathay Pacific has announced another series of cancellations on its routes to Japan, with several services being taken out of operation until 31 May 2011. The airline will operate six daily flights from Hong Kong to Tokyo Narita between now and the end of May, with flight CX524 from HK being operating just four times between now and 31 May. Osaka will see three daily flights in May, with CX566 ex-HK and CX567 ex-Osaka being cancelled until the end of next month. To and from Nagoya, three weekly flights will remain cancelled until 31 May, except 28 April, while the Wednesday and Saturday services to Sapporo will be cancelled throughout May.
Meanwhile, Cathay has said that its flight crews will resume staying overnight in Tokyo following confirmation from the UN that it is safe to do so.
