Celebrity Cruises has launched a range of self-guided art tours using iPads. The tours, which will feature on Solstice Class ships, will include floor plans of each deck highlighting the art on display. Guests can then touch the screen to learn more about each piece. Additionally, passengers can explore digital versions of each vessel’s stateroom art catalogues. Celebrity already uses iPads as menus in its Qsine restaurant and has a ‘Celebrity iLounge’ equipped with MacBooks and an Apple shop. “The response to the Celebrity iLounge and to the iPad menus in Qsine was so positive, we knew our guests would relish yet another opportunity to capitalise on the latest technology in an entertaining, enriching way,” said Celebrity Cruises’ Senior VP of Hotel Operations Lisa Lutoff-Perlo.
