China develops opera stage museum

A museum for ancient opera stages is being built in east China’s Jiangxi province, Xinhua has reported. The museum, which will be the first of its kind in China, is located in the city of Leping, known as the ‘Land of Jiangxi Opera’. There are 412 stages in the city, with the oldest one dating back 500 years ago, the report said. The museum is expected to open by the end of August.
