China Eastern to sell, lease back planes

China Eastern Airlines has announced that it will sell three of its Airbus A340s to a leasing firm, only to lease them back again. The deal with ICBC Financing Leasing Co will see the carrier sell the aircraft for CNY1.3 billion (US$189.6 million) and then will lease the aircraft back for six years at CNY20 million (US$2.9 million) per aircraft per quarter.
