A second Air China charter flight has left for Libya to evacuate Chinese citizens stranded in the troubled African country. Xinhua reported that the Airbus A330-200 left Beijing for Tripoli early this morning, carrying a task force of officials from several government departments along with emergency supplies. The first A330 rescue flight departed yesterday afternoon. In addition, four ocean liners have been hired by Chinese embassies in Greece and Malta to evacuate Chinese citizens from Libya, while the Chinese Embassy in Egypt is reported to have hired about 100 buses to conduct an overland evacuation.
