China finds underground rivers in desert
A geological survey in China has found more than 3,000 underground rivers with a total length of 14,000km in the country’s southwest desert areas, Xinhua has reported.
The report said that the rivers have an annual runoff of 47 billion cubic metres, equivalent to that of the Yellow River.
