China plans 8-day holiday for 2009
Workers across China will enjoy a supersized break in October 2009 holiday, following the government’s decision to schedule and eight-day holiday, Shanghai Daily has reported.
National Day, which falls on 1 October, and the Mid-Autumn Festival, which begins on 3 October, will be combined into China’s first eight-day holiday since the founding of the People’s Republic in 1949.
