The first World Mind Sports Games will take place in Beijing over the next 2 weeks, with nearly 3,000 egg-heads from across the globe competing to win in events such as bridge and chess. The BBC has reported that 35 gold medals will be up from grabs in a variety of board and card games. As in the summer’s physical Olympic Games, hosts China will be hoping to achieve the highest tally of gold medals.
