China is slashing the country’s mobile roaming service charges by more than half from March 1, Xinhua news agency reported.
Under the plan, over 500 million mobile subscribers would enjoy price cuts ranging from 54-73%. They would be charged 0.6 yuan (US$0.8 US cents) per minute for making calls outside their local service areas and 0.4 yuan per minute for receiving calls.
