China Southern Airlines has said that it expects a 14-fold surge in full-year profits for 2010. The Guangzhou-based carrier said in its preliminary annual report that its 2010 profits would jump to a record CNY5.37 billion (US$810 million). The rise in domestic air travel demand plus the stronger yuan were cited as the main reasons behind the growth.
