Officials from China and Taiwan have met to discuss joint exhibitions between Beijing’s Palace Museum and Taipei’s National Palace Museum, Xinhua reported.
“We are glad to see the two museums working together and improving exchanges,” said Yang Yi, China’s State Council Taiwan Affairs Office spokesperson, at a press conference.
Taiwan reportedly shipped about 600,000 items from Beijing to Taipei when the Communists seized power in the mainland in 1949.
