CityJet, London’s business airline, has this afternoon increased capacity on its routes from London City Airport to Paris Orly and Antwerp for tomorrow as rail passengers switch to air travel due to continued snowfall across Europe which is hampering rail operations. In order to cope with demand CityJet has so far added one extra flight on both routes to its morning schedule tomorrow (Monday 21.12.09) and continues to monitor the situation closely to see whether any extra flights will need to be added.
The extra flight schedule is as follows:
PARIS
Inbound – Paris to London Depart Arrive
AF5018 07:15 07:30
Outbound – London to Paris Depart Arrive
AF5019 08:00 10:25
ANTWERP
Inbound – Antwerp to London Depart Arrive
AF5236 11:30 11:35
Outbound – London to Antwerp
AF5235 12:05 14:10
Geoffrey O’Byrne White, CEO of CityJet states, “It looks as though the snow will remain for a few days and could continue to create problems for rail passengers across Europe. A lot of train passengers are looking for a guaranteed method of transport that will get them home in time for Christmas and are therefore booking a seat onboard one of our aircraft.”
