Czech Airlines has posted a net loss of CZK1.83 billion (US$104.3 million) for the first six months of the year, Reuters has reported. The European carrier’s loss was almost double the deficit expected as passenger levels dropped 9.7%. State-owned Czech Airlines is thought to be in discussions over privatization, although Air France-KLM last week ruled out a move for the carrier.
