Two people were killed and at least 15 other injured on Sunday when a last-minute change of platform for a Patna-bound train led to a stampede at the New Delhi Railway Station. According to an Economic Times report, the stampede occurred at around 2.50pm when the Bihar Sampark Kranti Express arrived on Platform 12, rather than Platform 13, as had been announced. Passengers then rushed to the correct platform, triggering the disaster.
