As part of the preparations for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, as many as 82 monuments in and around the Indian capital have been identified for renovation, Anil Mathur reports.
Under a pact of the Delhi Government and the Indian National Trust for Culture and Heritage, detailed studies will be carried out for the mass facelift. In a related development the metro station at the historic Qutab Minar, Delhi, will have a heritage museum added as part of the redevelopment of the site.
