Walt Disney Co. may increase its stake in its struggling Hong Kong Disneyland theme park as attendance figures falter, Bloomberg reported.
“We do anticipate an additional investment ourselves,” Hong Kong Disneyland’s managing director, Bill Ernest, was quoted saying.
Disney owns a 43% stake while the Hong Kong government holds the rest.
The report said the theme park had earlier asked banks to allow it to delay debt repayments. The theme park saw more than four million visitors in its second year of operations.
