Dorsett Hotels & Resorts has started offering smartphones to guests at its four properties in Hong Kong.
Effective immediately, guests at the Dorsett Mongkok, Dorsett Tsuen Wan, Cosmopolitan Hotel Hong Kong and Dorsett Kwun Tong will be offered the devices for the entire duration of their stay. The Android smartphones will be provided to guests during check-in, on a one-per-room basis.
The devices will come with free Wi-Fi and local calls, plus complimentary international calls to the UK, USA, China, Australia, South Korea, Malaysia and Singapore, and Japan and Canada for guests staying at the Dorsett Mongkok and Cosmopolitan Hotel.
The devices also come preloaded with maps and local tourist information apps.
The concept of offering free smartphones has become popular among boutique hotels in Hong Kong, with companies including Mira and Ovolo already providing similar services.
