Hilton Worldwide announced today the signing of a franchise agreement with Brayford Hotels for a new Doubletree by Hilton hotel in Lincoln. Expected to open in 2011, the hotel will have 115 rooms and is part of the group’s pan-Europe expansion plans. “The new Doubletree by Hilton Lincoln will be another great addition to our UK portfolio of nearly 90 hotels, where we are consistently growing our multiple brand presence in a variety of locations,” said Hilton Senior Vice President of Development in Europe and Africa Patrick Fitzgibbon. “Doubletree by Hilton is a key growth brand in Europe, Africa and across the globe and suits both conversion and new build projects in a combination of both business and leisure destinations.” The new-build property will have a rooftop restaurant, a bar and large conference and events space. “With a network of seven Doubletree by Hilton hotels already welcoming the world’s travellers in the UK, this latest signing in Lincoln represents the continued potential for our brand’s growing hotel portfolio throughout the region,” concluded Doubletree Hotels Global Head Rob Palleschi.
