A Florida couple is reportedly suing United Airlines for “negligently” over-serving alcohol during a flight from Osaka to San Francisco, Australia’s Herald Sun has reported. The man, Yoichi Shimamoto, was sentenced to 18 months probation after striking his wife, Ayisha, shortly after landing in 2006. Shimamoto now claims that the airline’s in-flight alcohol fuelled his violence. The case continues.
