Dubai has seen its largest ever participation at the World Travel Market, reflecting the demand from the major tour companies and the importance of the British market, according to the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).
DCTM’s Director General, Khalid Ahmed bin Sulayem, explained that in terms of hotel performance, Dubai is leading the world. Citing statistics from hospitality benchmarking giant, STR Global, Bin Sulayem stated that the city ranked top globally for both average room rate (ARR) and revenue per available room (revPAR) for the year to September.
Bin Sulayem added in a press statement at the WTM that the last few weeks have seen the opening of many hotel and tourism projects in Dubai which together have hugely contributed the tourism product of the Emirate.
