The UK’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has upheld a complaint by British Airways (BA) that easyJet misled customers in a newspaper ad. The BBC has reported the ASA as ruling that the low-cost carrier broke advertising rules by claimed its fares were up to 65% cheaper than BA’s.
EasyJet admitted that it was unable to substantiate the advert’s claims, and said it would take steps to prevent such errors from happening again.
