As testament to their commitment to expand, they have announced Nabil Sultan as the Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Gulf, Middle East and Iran. He will be accountable of the airline’s home region and one of its most commercially successful markets.
Salem Obaidalla, was the previous Vice President, India and Nepal, moves to Dubai to take over as vice President, Commercial Operations, West Asia and Indian Ocean, where the frequency and capacity is increasing.
To complete the dynamic team is Adnan Kazim, appointed Vice President, Commercial Operations, Africa. As tourism gains momentum in Africa, Emirates has recognized its massive potential and have commenced passenger services to three new counties in the span of one year.
According to HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline and Group; “All three share a deep knowledge and robust experience in the field of aviation. I am confident the
will make a strong contribution to our business operations, and wish them every success.”
But the excitement for the week does not stop there.
Today Emirates, is launching its next generation, cutting-edge ice Digital Widescreen system, bringing the bar of having the ‘Best In-flight Entertainment in the World’ to greater heights. This new envious technology is available in all classes and is the ground-breaking new system that represents a significant enhancement in the overall passenger experience. It took three years to develop - focusing on adding innovative features in a simple to use interface.
According to Patrick Brannelly, Emirates Vice President of Passenger Communications and Visual Services; “Our new ice Digital Widescreen System allows us to continue to offer our passengers the latest in-flight entertainment and communications technologies, significantly enhancing our onboard experience”. Ice is available on half of Emirates’ passenger fleet, giving passengers more in-flight entertainment choice than any other airline.
