Emirates anticipates busy travel period in early January

Emirates has alerted passengers to a significant surge in travel activity from 2 to 5 January, urging them to arrive at Dubai International Airport four hours before departure. The airline anticipates increased traffic, busier car parks, and a bustling airport environment during this period.

To ease the travel experience, Emirates recommends several options. Passengers can utilise the Emirates City Check-In and Travel Store at Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) or the Emirates City Check-In in Ajman. Both facilities allow check-in and luggage drop-off from 24 hours up to four hours before a flight. Customers using these services until 15 January will receive 2,500 Emirates Skywards Miles.

For those in Dubai and Sharjah, Emirates offers a Home Check-In service, where agents handle the check-in process at the customer's location. This service is complimentary for First Class passengers and Platinum Skywards members, though it must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.

Emirates also suggests using the Dubai Metro to avoid road congestion. The metro provides a direct connection to Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport, offering a convenient alternative to road travel.

Passengers are reminded to pre-select seats and ensure all travel documents are valid. Emirates emphasises the importance of reaching the boarding gate at least one hour before departure to ensure a smooth journey.
