DUBAI, U.A.E 18th April 2010: Hundreds of people flocked to Emirates’ consumer experience, at the popular ‘The Walk’ along Jumeirah Beach Residence, across the weekend to view world-class Manga artists expertly painting three all-new Nissan Patrol cars.
Staged throughout Thursday, Friday and Saturday and open to everyone, the event was initiated to celebrate Emirates’ new services to Tokyo which launched on 28th March. The consumer driven event incorporated a Japanese Manga art theme which was carried through the entire event location.
Crowds eagerly gathered around the trained Manga artists – flown into Dubai specifically for this event – to watch them methodically paint the Patrols in the typically flamboyant Manga theme.
Numerous prizes were also given out to passers-by including; eight Emirates flight vouchers worth AED 500 each and multiple tickets to the recently opened KidZania at Dubai Mall. Four lucky winners also walked away with a return economy class ticket each, with two people getting the chance to fly to their home country and visit family and the remaining two getting the opportunity to experience the incredible sights and sounds of Tokyo.
The three freshly painted cars will now spend the next four weeks travelling around Dubai and Abu Dhabi as part of this one of a kind event.
Emirates flies non-stop to Tokyo five times weekly every Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
