Emirates has announced plans to expand to services to Australia, including using its Airbus A380 on services to Sydney, The Australian newspaper has reported. The airline hopes to introduce direct services from its Dubai hub to both Brisbane and Melbourne, plus launching superjumbo services on the Dubai-Sydney-Auckland route in February.
“We’ll be up to 63 flights a week in February and, of course, 28 trans-Tasman,” said Emirates’ Vice-President, Richard Vaughan.
