Premier Nathan Rees and Business Events Sydney (BESydney) today announce that Sydney has been selected to host Amway.
Attracting 12,000-15,000 delegates to our Harbour City in 2011 and worth more than $60 million to the NSW economy, the win cements Sydney’s position as a leading international destination for business events.
According to Premier Rees, the business events industry is bringing major gains to both the city and state.
“Every new event brings significant spend per visitor and we also see wider benefits with the creation of jobs and new trade opportunities,” he said. “In this global financial climate, the events industry is performing particularly well, delivering high yields and contributing important consumer spend.”
