Etihad Airways will increase its Abu Dhabi-Kathmandu service from seven flights per week to a double daily schedule from 1 November 2013. The additional flights are driven by demand from business and leisure travellers.
The boost in frequencies will also strengthen already strong ties between Nepal and UAE.
“The addition of the new flights will lead to continued strong growth in traffic flows between Kathmandu, Abu Dhabi and beyond to many key destinations,” said Kevin Knight, Etihad Airways’ chief strategy and planning officer.
The new services will be operated by A320 aircraft with 16 Business Class seats and 120 Economy Class seats.
