Etihad Airways’ financial planning and control team has won the Financial Planning and Analysis Award at the gtnews Awards for Global Corporate Treasury and Finance.
The awards, which recognise best practice and projects within the global corporate treasury and finance sector, were presented at a ceremony in London.
Vydya Venkateswaran, Etihad Airways’ vice president financial planning and control, said the awards were among “the most prestigious a company can receive in the financial planning and analysis field”.
“The Etihad Airways Finance Planning and Control team has contributed to the success of the airline. This award recognises the impact the decentralised planning process has had across the company.”
The Etihad team was credited by the judges for the roll-out of the carrier’s decentralised controlled process that utilises its cloud-based planning tool, Adaptive Insights.
This has significantly enhanced and shortened the planning cycle.
