Etihad launches Bengaluru services

Etihad Airways has launched flights to its eighth destination in India; Bengaluru. The Abu Dhabi-based carrier will operate four return flights a week to the Karnataka state capital, with the frequency rising to daily from 25 March 2011. The route will be served using a two-class Airbus A320 carrying 140 passengers. With the addition of Bengaluru, Etihad will operate a total of 49 weekly flights to eight Indian cities which include New Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram, Hyderabad and Kochi.
