Etihad Airways plans to carry six million passengers this year, a 30% increase compared to 2007. Gulf News quoted Chief Executive Officer James Hogan as saying that the airline would get a boost from the expected launch of new destinations and new aircraft set to join its growing fleet. Etihad carried about 4.6m passengers last year, up from 2.8m in 2006.
