Eurolines has recorded a 27 percent increase in passengers choosing coach travel to Paris and Amsterdam. The coach operator believes its low, upfront fares have contributed to the rise, in response to the criticism of airline hidden extras. Popularity has also continued following the ash cloud crisis and an increase in services. “We are delighted that more travellers are putting us into their consideration choice prior to travelling between the key European cities,” said John Gilbert, managing director of Eurolines UK. “It’s great that members of the public are making the most of the savings that can be made through coach travel and in due course we’re looking forward providing more promotions that allow value for money with fantastic benefits.”
