Exotissimo Travel has announced a new culinary journey through Vietnam, departing on 24 September 2011. The 12-day trip combines sightseeing and soft adventures and cultural and educational elements. Led by long time Hanoi resident and published food author, Daniel Hoyer, the tour will travel from north to south along the Vietnamese coastline, sampling the gastronomic flavours of each region.
Beginning in Hanoi, participants will start with some sightseeing and a visit to the Museum of Ethnology, before venturing into the northern mountains to visit a Hmong tribe in Sapa. The tour will also visit the UNESCO World Heritage city of Hoi An, as well as Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta, where guests will have a chance to experience the area’s floating markets.
Vietnam Product Manager Maeve Nolan said, “Vietnam is a home to an abundance of exotic cuisine options that are well translated through this culinary tour. For the epicurean enthusiasts with an appetite for food, adventure and culture, this 12-day tour is well worth pursuing.”
