Explosives which could be used as a “crude bomb” were found in the hold of a Kingfisher Airlines plane travelling from Bengaluru to Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday, The Times of India has reported. The package was found during a security check of the cargo section of the ATR aircraft after passengers had alighted in the Kerala hub. The cricket ball-sized package was removed and defused by a bomb disposal squad. India’s Civil Aviation Ministry ordered an inquiry into the incident.
