The Service Now & Automation Engineer role is crucial to the build and support of solutions across Enterprise Technology Services (ETS).
As an engineer you can work within any of the technical service pillars within ETS including:
You will report to a Product Leader or Engineering Lead and on a regular basis you may be asked to work within the context of a project and take you work orders from a Delivery or Project Manager.

What You’ll Do
Day to day administration, configuration and maintenance of our ServiceNow environment
Continuous improvement of ServiceNow capabilities and outputs (workflows, orchestration, custom scripts, platform adoption etc)
Consult internally with stakeholders and customers to ensure appropriate solutions for their requirements
Research, plan and deploy platform upgrades, new releases and/or enhancements into the ServiceNow environment as required.
Contribute to researching, planning, coordinating & implementing solutions
Direct and consult with other team members throughout day to day operations, striving for consistency and design best practices
Installation and configuration of COTS Software & Hardware solutions
Provisioning, implementation and configuration of PaaS or SaaS platforms
Updating or Upgrading of existing solutions
Analysing existing systems and operations and developing preventative maintenance strategies
Scripting as it pertains to the solutions being implemented or supported
Offer 3rd level support to implemented solutions
Participation in on-call roster
Who you are
Bachelor’s level degree in either business or technology
5 years’ experience is a must to work as an Security Engineer.
A detailed understanding of information technology and how the business works are essential to work in this role.
High level communication, negotiation and leadership skills are essential to the role as are sound analytical and conceptual skills.
Strong understanding of the Service Now platform
Strong development experience in Service Now, including integration with other platforms
Strong knowledge and experience in ITOM, ITSM, CSM and SecOps modules
Experience working in large and complex organisations
Knowledge of ITIL principles and concepts
Desirable Skills include:
UiPath Development and Management experience
Aternity experience including development of signatures and general platform maintenance
Splunk Administration Experience
