The role
We are recruiting for a HR Manager, Japan to join our FCM team in Japan. Based in Tokyo, you will work with the Regional HR team and Japan management team and lead HR related initiatives for FCM Japan. As a strategic and trusted leader, you will be responsible for aligning our regional HR practices and deliver a proactive and customer focused HR function to our growing Japanese business.
Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Management: Develop strong working relationships with business leaders, HR Business Partners, JP management team to understand their business priorities and work pro-actively with them to align HR initiatives. This includes areas such as organization design, workforce planning, talent matters, workplace culture, performance management, leadership development and succession planning.
Talent Acquisition: Drive best practices for recruitment in Japan and build our employer branding in Japan market
HR Operations: Responsible for HR activities throughout the employee lifecycle from talent acquisition, onboarding, engagement, learning and development and offboarding and ensure smooth cooperation between HR Operations and shared services provider.
Regionally aligned with local insight: Ensure global and regional HR strategies and initiatives are rolled out in FCM Japan and locally adapted when required. Analyses trends in compensation and benefits within Japan market; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
Advocate for FCM and FCTG culture and values: Act as a role model of our company culture and values. Champions diversity and inclusion as well as leadership principles. Coach and develop leaders within the business.
Performance Management: Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations and ensure activities maintains compliance with local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices.
Other duties and projects as assigned, in line with the role.
What are we looking for:
Proven track record as a HR Generalist / ability to manage various HR functions (recruitment, HR operations, talent management etc)
Relevant business or HR degree with at least 5 years’ working experience
Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English and Japanese.
Solid Knowledge of Japanese national policies, labour law and regulations
Ability to build and maintain constant rapport and trustworthy relationship with the business at a strategic level and be hands-on in rollout of HR activities
Strong commercial acumen with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
International and solutions minded mindset
Ability to work in a complex multinational environment
Ability to act with integrity, maturity, professionalism, and confidentiality
