Farnborough Air Show 2014 – Day Three Deals

The Farnborough International Air Show is taking place in the UK this week, and Travel Daily will provide a daily round-up of all the major deals signed at the show. Here’s a rundown of the biggest deals from day three:

China’s Hainan Airlines has agreed to purchase 50 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. The deal is worth US$5.1 billion at list prices

Air Mauritius has placed an order for four Airbus A350-900 aircraft, and signed leasing agreements for a further two.

Myanmar’s national carrier Myanma Airways has signed a deal with ATR for six ATR 72-600 aircraft, with options for a further six

Qatar Airways has finalised its order for 50 Boeing 777-X aircraft. The US$19 billion deal was initially agreed at the 2013 Dubai Airshow.

Air Algerie has signed an order for two Boeing 737-700C (Convertible) aircraft, valued at US$152 million at current list prices.

Myanmar’s Air Mandalay has signed a purchase agreement with Mitsubishi for six MRJ90 aircraft, with options for a further four.

MG Aviation has finalised an order for two Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, valued at US$499 million at list prices.

US-based Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has signed an agreement to purchase seven ATR 72-600 turboprop aircraft.
