The Farnborough International Airshow is preparing to mark its 60th anniversary this year, CNN has reported. The event, one of the world’s most prestigious aviation events, starts on 14 July and will commemorate the first show, held in 1948. This year 1,500 companies from 35 countries will be exhibiting planes and other technologies in a show that is predicted to be Farnborough’s biggest to date. Aviation orders are expected to exceed US$500 million and total trade over US$40 billion.
