The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has advised all but essential travel to Koh Phangan and Koh Tao in Thailand following the floods in the area. Although flights and ferry services have resumed between the Surat Thani mainland and Koh Smaui and Koh Phangan, the FCO has advised British nationals to consider leaving if they can. Heavy rainfall continues to fall and flood warnings are still in place.
