Finnair’s Asian traffic grew 8% in 2010

Finnair’s passenger traffic on Asian routes increased 8% year-on-year in 2010. The region was by far the strongest performer for the airline, which saw overall traffic decline 1%. Finnair carried a total of 6.2 million passengers on scheduled flights in 2010, with load factor improving by just over one percentage point to 75%. On Asian routes however, load factor climbed by nearly three percentage points to 82%.
“We have done well in achieving growth in Asian traffic in line with our strategy, and the price level of tickets has also developed more favourably,” said Finnair’s Chief Financial Officer, Erno Hild
